Walking mood - Budapest
Walking is a great way to discover a city. If I have the opportunity I always try to get to know cities this way. Come with me and get inspired by my home city, Budapest. :)
Buda Palace, Fisherman's Bastion, Parliament, Hungarian State Opera House, St. Stephen's Basilica, Chain Bridge, Heroes' Square… Just a few from the main attractions you must see in Budapest. I would say you’ll need at least 5 full days to spend here if you don’t like to miss any of these landmarks.
Local inhabitans like me love spendig hours with sitting on the Liberty Bridge and watching the beautiful sunset. Just a few minutes walk from the bridge there is a lovely coffee shop, Steezy Café, my ultimate fave beside Costa. I used to work in the neighbourhood for a couple of months and I always grabbed my morning coffee from there. Nice memory. :) I also like hiking up on the top of Gellert Hill. You can have a spectecular view from the top, the landscape of the city is stunning. It’s a massive walk but totally worth the effort.
After a long walk it is nothing better than visiting a bath and relax. One of the country’s world-famous baths is Rudas Bath; my personal favourite. It offers night bathing option which is my amazing. It means that your thermal ticket is valid between 10:00 pm to 04:00 am on Friday or on Saturday. The bath is not crowded at all and and you can enjoy Budapest’s night lights from the water. How cool is that?!
How about you? Do you like walking too? :)
